Eat Like a Yogi
Nutrition is the basic and fundamental means for healing our body and mind. Sometimes we wonder that why we feel drained out and look tired after the practice? It is because we practice like yogis but never eat like them.
Below are a couple of simple changes to make in your diet to feel a real difference.
Include raw, fresh and organic cucumber in your diet (would be great if you eat it first thing in the morning). It is the number one kidney food as it has an enzyme which helps in breaking down protein caught in our system.
Add a few herbs into your diet such as coriander for indigestion and irritable bowel syndrome; Ginger for nausea and migraines; Turmeric as an inflammatory and for boosting immunity.
Eat raw vegetables because when the food is cooked, it destroys some of the minerals or alters their properties.
Cut down the sugar intake as it makes our body lethargic
Include yogurt in your lunch as it is a great pro-biotic (sugar free products)
Drink plenty of water throughout the day, for detoxification
Avoid drinking with meals. Drink after an hour of your meal, drinking with meals dilutes the gastric juice and slows down the process of digestion in the stomach and intestines.
